2024 will definitely be written in golden letters in the history of the area and our Company. After many years of revitalizing existing buildings, preparations, negotiations and intensive work of the team, Stocznia Cesarska Development obtained its first building permits for new developments. This was a key and long-awaited moment for us, which opens a new chapter in the development of this historic place. Thanks to the decisions obtained, it will be possible to start the implementation of our ambitious projects that will transform the shipyard area into a modern and vibrant urban center, combining innovation with rich tradition.
A great reason for pride for our team was winning the prestigious Top Woman in Real Estate award, as the best Real Estate team of 2024. The competition jury appreciated the exceptional commitment, efficiency and innovative approach of the team members, who not only met the requirements of the complicated investment process, but also brought a unique vision, thanks to which Stocznia Cesarska stands out from other urban projects in Poland and Europe. In addition, our boss, Jadwiga Kosinska, won a statuette in the Business Management category and was distinguished by being appointed by His Magnificence the Rector, Prof. Dr. Hab. Eng. Krzysztof Wilde to the Team of Economic Advisors at the Rector of the Gdańsk University of Technology for the term of office 2024-2028.
During the last meeting of our expert group, which took place on the eve of the PZFD Developer Congress, within which our boss Jadwiga Kosinska led a discussion panel entitled “Developer vs. Conservation Authorities”, we undertook intensive work on postulates aimed at improving cooperation between developers and conservation services. This is an extremely important issue that requires not only a deep understanding of the needs of both parties, but also the development of specific solutions that will be presented during next year’s Congress of Polish Conservators – an event organized once a decade. As an active participant and initiator of this dialogue, we believe that only through open cooperation and mutual understanding can we build spaces that combine history with modernity, while respecting both the cultural heritage and the needs of modern cities. Real changes are possible, and we are proud to be a part of them.
This year we also entered new (until now unknown) waters by becoming a sponsor of the Gdańsk Rowing Association “Gedania”. The company and the club signed a sponsorship agreement, under which the club received building materials from us, enabling the renovation of the club’s gym. We symbolically ended the first year of our cooperation with a joint Christmas meeting for the competitors, their families, and the management and coaches of Gedania, which took place at the Imperial Dock.
2024 was also a year of new acquaintances. We met Adam Koniuszewski, a Pole living in Canada, who during his extraordinary bicycle journey along the Iron Curtain Trail also visited the historic building of the Directorate. Following the Iron Curtain, which for almost 50 years marked the border between two political blocs, today runs the EuroVelo 13 bicycle route. The route runs through 20 countries and connects places that are not only attractive in terms of views, but also those important for the genesis of the unification of Europe.
The breakthrough achievements of this year are just the beginning of the road to creating a new symbol of Gdańsk. We believe that the coming years will bring even more successes, proving that passion, professionalism and vision can shape the future and change history for the better.
On the occasion of the upcoming New Year, we wish you many successes in all the fields that are important to you. May this time bring the fulfillment of dreams, new opportunities and moments full of joy and satisfaction.
