Mind Dock

We have a winner!

On Friday, April 12, we announced the winner of the competition – announced earlier this year by Stocznia Cesarska Development and the “Education, Practice, Development” Foundation for the students of the Architecture Department of the Sopot University – for the concept of a mobile office village based on container modules.

After a series of workshops, the students had a few more weeks to complete their projects and present them to the jury on April 9th.

Out of the 5 submitted works the jury, consisting of Mr. Gerard Schuurman (Stocznia Cesarska Development), dr. inż. arch. Grzegorz Pęczek (Education, Practice, Development” Foundation),
prof. dr hab. inż. arch. Piotr Lorens, Mr. Tomasz Szymczak (Gdańsk Entrepreneurship Foundation ) and Mr. Marcin Kamiński (Mirage Group), awarded the following three works:

First Place
Sylwia Skwarczyńska and Magdalena Maczan

Second Place
Weronika Gielo, Marta Zygzuła i Zuzanna Radtke

Third Place
Agata Jowanowska, Paulina Rakiel i Alicja Walentynowicz

We imagine this as a place for the start-up community in the area next to the M3 crane,
which is soon to be opened as the new 360 degrees observation deck in Gdansk.

That’s why we’ve entered into a cooperation with the Gdańsk Entrepreneurship Foundation.
The cooperation involves the promotion of this project, the commercialization of space, as well as the creation of the concept of community animation and the service of this space.

The 5 competition entries are on display in the #newstories gallery container, located next to the M3 Crane, until the end of May. After this first exhibition, the gallery will be available to people and organizations that would like to use it as a space for displaying art, presentations, organizing meetings, mini-concerts or other artistic and social activities. Persons interested in organizing events in the #newstories gallery can contact us.
