In April 2019, 30 years have passed since the end of the Round Table Talks, being one of the most important events in the history of post-war Poland, which had a significant impact on the collapse of the communist system, followed by the development of a democratic system. The Gdansk Shipyard was a witness of the heroic struggle of NSZZ Solidarnosc to reach an agreement with representatives of the government.

This exceptional event was an inspiration for us to develop a limited series of 250 postage stamps to celebrate the moment that changed the course of history.

In order to keep the memory of the Shipyard alive we are constantly looking for memories, artefacts and other valuables related to the Shipyard. We invite you to reach out to us and share your stories by sending an email to wspomnienia@stoczniacesarska.pl. Contributions will be awarded with a set of the Round Table stamps.

Since 2019 is the year of Anna Walentynowicz, we are in particular looking for memories and materials related to this legendary overhead crane operator, who worked in hall 42A.
